Ballyhoo: A Quiet Month

a close up of a fire

And a short update...

We’re into the second round of attorney revisions on the building lease, and most of the changes we’re reviewing are minor language tweaks.   All significant negotiations are done…   as a matter of fact, just yesterday we learned our floorplan concepts were accepted.  Boring for you to hear, but great news for us!  I am going to sound like a broken record here, we’re still waiting until we have closed on the lease before any announcement of the location.

Other than the lease revisions, we’ve been diligently getting some of the 10,000 other things we need to worry about ready to go – and we’re pretty much there on the big items.   Until we have the overall timeline dialed in, kicked off by signing the lease, it’s hard to let supplier partners get started.  Except branding.  That’s one reveal that we will share this month.  Initial concepts on logos were received this week, and we’ll spend some time tweaking it over the next couple of weeks.

The most exciting part of the past month is meeting people who don’t know us and find out they know about the brewery.  Meeting some of you “in the wild” or getting those unsolicited emails of support have meant a lot to us.  We’ve really been working on this for a long time – fun fact, LUKI Brewery, LLC was formed in April 2017 – and to finally have people acknowledge the brewery is rewarding.  We can’t say it enough… we’re excited to finally press on and start revealing to everyone what we’ve been working on.

All in all, it’s the quiet before the storm.  So, we relax, don’t worry, and have a homebrew.  And make s’mores on the back deck while arguing the finer points of our logo choices and learn of resources we didn’t know we had.

Enjoy the start of Summer!

Allez Allez Allez!
